Five thousand years old sharda pitha temple of hindus, which is situated in muslim country pakistan

pakistan has approved the construction of a corridor to visit sharda pitha, the ancient hindu
temple and culture site in occupied kashmir. the government of pakistan has opened the way
for this temple to the people of india. after this offer, devotees will able to visit the temple of
five thousand years old sarawati devi.

according to the mythological story, the tandava crass with the dead body of sati had the right hand
of sati in the valley of this mountain region in kashmir. the goddess's right hand is believed to have fallen. the temple is one the major three religious sites for kashmiri pandits. the other to anantnag
have the martand sun temple and the amarnath temple.

kashmiri pandits are seeking to open sharda back corridor for the long time. according
to historian, the sharda-pith temple has been as much a center of reverence for kashmiri
pandits as the amarnath and the martanda sun temple  in anatnag.

the minority communities of kashmiri reminded the kashmiri pandits of their 70- year
old demand again. for the last 70 year, there has been no worship in the revered sharada
devi temple. according to the sanatan tradition, the importance of this shrine on the bank
of the river nilam is as much as theat of the shiva lingam of somnath. according to hindu
religion, it is believed to be one of the 18 megapowers of devi power.

located just 17 mile away from the indian line of control is this temple. this only remains
in the name of a temple in the sharada village of pakistan authorised kashmir. in the reign
of ashoka, the ancient sharda pitha established before 237 a.d. is one abandoned temple,
more than a thousand years old.
